Aetna
Highmark BCBS

What modalities do you use?
I utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities, including cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy. These modalities are what many call “talk therapy.” I also utilized eye movement desensitization reprocessing (EMDR), ego state (a.k.a “parts work”), and play-therapy based modalities.
Will you collaborate with my doctors?
Definitely! At intake, I will ask if there are any providers that you would like me to collaborate with. I will send you a release of records to sign so that I can correspond directly with other members of your care team.
What are your hours?
All sessions are by appointment only. I currently offer day time accessibility during the week. However, arrangements can be made for nontraditional business hours (early morning) for those with busy lives.
Do you have weekend availability?
Not currently. Weekends are for self-care 🙂
Who are you outside of being a counselor?
I’m a professional “try something once.” I enjoy trying new things and challenging myself to extend just a little bit outside my comfort zone. I enjoy trying different self-care activities (everything from a salt cave to embroidery). I enjoy writing, baking, and spending time outside. In college, I spent time on the university’s rowing team as a coxswain, and I continue to love being out on the water whenever weather permits.
Are you a dog person or a cat person?
I am a dog person! I am currently the proud dog mom to Leo, a 9 year old cavapoo. However, Leo spends his days perched on the back of couches, chasing lasers, and being indifferent- so I call him my “cat-a-poo.” So I guess I am a little bit of both!
